The latest post on our archive blog reproduces an undated paper in which Klein refers to a passage about toads from a nature book, using it to explore the complex mix of jealousy, phantasy, anxiety, guilt and denial that underpin infantile sexual theory.

As Jane Milton, author of the blog and the Trust’s honorary archivist, says, “Klein’s sharp observation…illustrates how alive she was to the world around her, and how she perceived her theories playing out beyond the boundaries of the psychoanalytic context.”
